My name is Veronica Cantu-Maher, and I’m a collegiate golfer with a dream of being a professional golfer. My golf career is different from most. My journey began with The First Tee of Greater Sacramento, a program that shaped not only my swing but my character. I first started playing golf at the age of 7, but my passion for the game didn’t come until age 14. I grew to love the game and through the program was selected to receive a scholarship after many volunteer hours and work put in. Over the years, I have put in countless hours of hard work and dedication to try and reach my dream. Currently, I’m working on obtaining my bachelor's degree in Kinesiology at Sacramento State. During this time, I am an amateur golfer and my next step as I approach the end of my undergrad is pursuing golf professionally, competing in state opens, ANNIKA Women’s All Pro Tour events, and the LPGA Qualifying Series.
