Support Veronica Baker after Aneurysm Surgery

Resilient. Compassionate. Hard-Working. Selfless.
These are just a few words that describe Veronica Baker, an amazing mother of four and a doting grandmother to a beautiful 8-month old baby boy.
Veronica has faced many challenges in her life, but no matter how many times she gets knocked down, she gets right back up. When life throws her curveballs, she overcomes them. When life goes her way, she is grateful. Whatever difficulties she may be experiencing in her own personal life, she always takes the time to help friends, family, and loved ones in need.
You need someone to help organize your garage sale? She's there.
You need relationship advice or a shoulder to cry on? She's your go-to.
You need help cleaning your house because you're sick? She won't hesitate.
As a single mother, Veronica has always had to work harder than most to make ends meet to ensure that her children have what they need; even if that meant having 2-3 side gigs in addition to her day job. She has worked as a bartender and a waitress, worked concessions at sporting events and concerts, helped out at a friend's flower shop, and even sold homemade baked goods.
But as hardworking as Veronica is, her children are her number one priority.
Unfortunately on June 2nd, 2022, life threw Veronica another curveball. While working from home alone, Veronica collapsed from a subarachnoid hemorrhage (bleeding into the space surrounding the brain) due to a ruptured brain aneurysm. Through her tenacity and some divine intervention, she regained consciousness long enough to call for help. She was rushed to the hospital where the doctors found a total of 3 aneurysms, so she was taken to surgery the same evening. The surgery was extremely difficult and long, and she had to return for a second surgery on June 3rd. Veronica also had a drain placed to relieve the elevated pressure in her brain.
Then on June 4th, she stopped responding to any commands. She was taken emergently to MRI where it was found she had now suffered an ischemic stroke on the left side of her brain.
Veronica remains in ICU and has a long road ahead of her. She will need extensive rehabilitation and ongoing medical care. We are humbly asking her friends, family, and her community to help support her recovery. Your donations will help with medical bills, speech/physical/occupational therapy, ongoing home expenses, lost wages and other needs for her 4 children.
Veronica is a spunky Latina who enjoys life, and we are constantly amazed by her strength and courage. We can just imagine her dancing to Despacito again, playing darts expertly or bouncing her grandbaby on her lap. With your help, we can make that a reality. We thank you in advance for your thoughts, prayers, and donations.
