Support Chad & Vero After The Eaton Fire In Altadena
Donation protected
Help us support Chad and Vero as they navigate their next steps following the fire that destroyed their Altadena neighborhood. Chad, a public school teacher, and Vero, a freelance film editor, are first-time homeowners. After saving for years, they were finally able to buy their home in Altadena just last year.

Their house is thankfully still standing, one of only a handful in their neighborhood. But the fire took the garage, and the extent of the damage to the house and property is significant.
They were initially able to return to confirm the house is still up and deliver supplies to a local neighbor who has stayed inside the perimeter. But they will not be able to assess the full scope of damage to the property and the extent of smoke damage to their home until the evacuation orders have lifted and the National Guard allows re-entry into the neighborhood. Though their home structure stands, they are unsure if it is habitable and likely won't know the true extent of their loss for quite some time.
Your contributions will help them through this challenging time, as well as those to come, as they continue to come to terms with all they've lost (especially items/expenses beyond those covered by their insurance, FEMA, or other assistance orgs.)
Asking for help is hard for any of us, and Chad and Vero are no different. So it's with a hopeful heart that we can ask for help and support on their behalf. We love them deeply. A contribution of any size, big or small, will help them through this traumatic ordeal. Let's support them together.
Thank you,
Ben and Katie, friends of Chad and Vero from Portland, OR
