Support Verna's Stroke Recovery Journey

Donation protected
I am home with her 24/7 as her caregiver and that leaves me unable to work outside the home. I have exhausted all of my savings and in danger of falling behind on everything. PLEASE, every donation counts and every single dollar makes a difference. I have prayed and I have faith and asking for help knowing if we pull together all things are possible. I NEED YOUR HELP. PLEASE Donate and/or share the link.

She survived a stroke 1/9, had a set back 1/17 (my birthday we thought our mother was dying, then while recovering in the hospital contracted Covid. I took her home 1/28 with me and here she will stay for as long as the good Lord allows. Therapy started, she was making progress and then a bought of pneumonia changed all that and we are now back to getting the left side to have some mobility.
My mom Verna had a stroke 1/9/2025. I’ll take the positive that we get another today and pray for many more tomorrows. Can you believe this woman plays Call of Duty. Working to get mobility back in her hands and leg to get her independence back.

I have taken on the responsibility of taking care of my mother. My mom needs me to care for her. Keep praying and I will share her story. I am her eldest daughter Shawn. This is to help with the finances to take care of my mother. If you could donate or even help get the word out I’m asking you all to share the link on your social media. Please.

My life has changed and I assure you there are no complaints. I have my mom where some are not so lucky. I prayed a few times that she would get up out that hospital bed and she’s with me for the rest of the time she has left.

She survived a stroke 1/9 Thursday and went into inpatient rehab for therapy
Then tested positive for Covid 1/27 Monday They had an outbreak of Covid on the floor of the hospital, they kinda didn’t mention it to us at the time. They even wanted to extend her therapy to that Friday but I didn’t want to take the chances of mom getting sick and already requested to leave. It was too late. She survives a stroke, avoids COVID and contracts it in the hospital. We were scheduled to leave that Wednesday and she tested positive on that Monday. I made sure everyone had a mask that went in her room. We were released on Tuesday 1/28 and I drove straight to my house.
Then a bout of pneumonia 2/19 the day after Ashley’s (my baby girl) birthday where they admitted and stuck a tube down her throat and sent her home with a catheter, I am still upset about that one.
She is a fighter and as long as she has fight, I’m pushing her to get better.

So please if you can help or simply share. I greatly appreciate all that are sharing and have donated. I prayed and I know to have faith even in the darkest storm.

Mom will be 71 this year. I just want to dedicate some time to help her heal. We had to have the talk about life saving measures and all that was upsetting enough but to hear her say "I don't want to die." was enough for me. As long as she is willing to fight, then I will help her fight. Better than yesterday has become our fight phrase. She has improved mobility to her left arm and leg but unable to get up on her own. SHE IS A FIGHTER. Please help if you can and I post updates and videos. Just so you know all videos are shown to my mom and posts are read to her, she sees it and approves before I post. One day I hope we look back and see how far she has come.
