This is tough to write. For those that have not heard yet, my Dad, Vern (Ronnie) Anderson went into Essentia Health in Fargo for a back surgery on November 19th and was supposed to come home the following morning. However, his neurosurgeon Dr. Syrquin, had to bring him back in for emergency surgery within hours as my dad became paralyzed from his waist down. He has been in the hospitals since then and as a consequence also developed a large wound.
He is working so hard to hopefully regain feeling and movement in his legs however, they say only time will tell how much will return.
We all know how fun, strong, loving and independent my dad is so you can imagine how hard being unable to do the normal everyday things like sitting up on his own or standing is on him. Our family is remaining positive and will continuing to fight every system we have to in order to get dad back home. As humbling as it is, due to the medical costs and to assist getting mom back and forth daily to be with dad, we are asking for your support. This will be a very long journey and we thank each and everyone of you for all the prayers and well wishes also. Blessings to all from our family to yours.
*All funds received will go directly to Vern and Bonnie Anderson.
