On March 6, 2025, Vera Martin’s life changed in an instant. While walking to pick up her baby from daycare, she was hit by a car. The accident left her with severe injuries that have led to months of hospital stays, surgeries, and rehabilitation.

At the time of the accident, Vera’s youngest daughter was just 17 months old. She is now 21 months — and heartbreakingly, Vera has not been able to be there for her since that day. She has been in a long-term care facility, working tirelessly to recover. Vera is the proud and loving mother to three amazing girls, all of whom are waiting to have their mom home again.

Vera left the hospital on March 17 to begin rehab, but just days later, a dangerous infection in her leg sent her back. After 72 days in the hospital, she returned to rehab—only for her incision to reopen, forcing yet another hospital stay. Today, she continues her fight from a long-term care facility.

This journey has been physically, emotionally, and financially overwhelming. Vera is a devoted mother, a hard worker, and a friend to many. She has touched countless lives, and now it’s our turn to rally around her.
