The Gan Ilan Parents Association is heartbroken to share that Vera (our lovely administrator) has tragically lost her mother this week. Stephanie Anita Iles Griffin, a deeply loved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to so many. On August 20th, 2025, Stephanie left this world surrounded by love—her daughters, granddaughter, sister, and nieces were right by her side as she took her final breath.

Stephanie was a devoted mother to three beautiful daughters: I’eisha (#1) , Misty (#2), and Vera Rose(#3) her very own Codename: Kids Next Door. Grandmother to Nailah, Hasani and Anisa. She was a constant source of strength, guidance, and unconditional love—not just to her children, but to everyone blessed enough to know her. Whether you called her Mom, Momo, or Ms. Stephanie, she made you feel like family.

She was truly a mom to all—the kind of woman who opened her heart and her home and a plate of her amazing food without hesitation. Her love extended far beyond her immediate family. Stephanie’s warmth, laughter, smile and unwavering support made her a second mother to her children’s friends and “Momo” to her grandchildren’s friends too. That’s just who she was.

Stephanie fought courageously until the very end. Her passing leaves a hole in our hearts that can never be filled, but her spirit, love, and legacy will live on through everyone she touched.
