My friend Venus Manglona was more than just a friend—she was a sister to many and a wonderful mother to her three children. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love touched everyone who knew her. Venus was deeply committed to her community, serving faithfully in her church as the guitarist in the choir and sharing her love of music with others. She also taught traditional dances like the Sinulog, bringing joy and culture to those around her. Her dedication to her family, friends, and community was truly inspiring, and she always found ways to lift others up.
Sadly, Venus passed away after a courageous battle with cancer (Thymoma), leaving her family and friends heartbroken. Right now, her three children are facing the difficult challenge of traveling to the Philippines to see their mother and say their goodbyes. The costs of travel are significant, and during this emotional time, we want to ease their burden as much as possible. Your support will help cover the travel expenses, allowing Venus’s children to be with her and honor her memory together as a family.
Any amount would help and will be deeply appreciated. Please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser to support Venus’s children during this incredibly difficult time. Your kindness will make a lasting difference for a family in need.
