Hello, I'm Bianca, currently residing in Denver, Colorado, but originally from Novo Hamburgo, a town nestled in the south of Brazil. Unfortunately, my hometown is currently grappling with a dire situation as the region faces the most severe floods in the past eight decades.

The state has declared a state of emergency due to the relentless rains, resulting in catastrophic flooding. My heart aches as I share that my mother, Venilde, has lost her entire home in this devastating flood. While my immediate family is safe for now, we are bracing ourselves for potentially more hardships as the rains persist and the overflowing waters from upstream cities continue to inundate our area. The Rio dos Sinos river threatens to swell even further, compounding the challenges we face.

In the midst of this crisis, many compassionate souls have reached out, eager to extend their support. In response, I've taken the initiative to establish this fund. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will go directly to assisting my mother, Venilde, and other affected families in their time of need.
