Hi, my name is Rosdarys Serna Montes. I am a Venezuelan doctor currently living and practising in Australia.

As many of you may know, the Venezuelan people have endured years of economic and humanitarian crisis. Millions of families have faced ongoing challenges in accessing food, medicines, and essential healthcare.

The recent earthquakes have added yet another devastating burden to people who were already living through incredibly difficult circumstances.

Our healthcare system and emergency services are under immense strain, making it even more challenging for those affected to receive timely medical care and essential support.

Shortages of medical supplies, limited emergency resources, and the broader humanitarian situation mean that many families are now facing urgent needs with very little assistance available.

Watching this devastation unfold has been heartbreaking. Like many Venezuelans living abroad, I have felt the pain of seeing my people suffer while being unable to provide the medical care and support they urgently need.

Over the past few days, many friends, colleagues, and members of the community have reached out asking how they could help. Their generosity inspired me to create this fundraiser so that together we can support Venezuelan families during this incredibly difficult time and help meet their most urgent needs.

Every donation will be transferred to a dedicated account used solely for this initiative. The funds will be used to purchase essential items including food, clean drinking water, medicines, baby formula, nappies, hygiene products, and other basic necessities for families affected by the earthquake.

As this campaign grows, I am committed to making the process as transparent as possible. I will provide regular updates on how the funds are being used and keep you informed about how and where the donations are being distributed. My goal is to ensure every donor can see the real impact of their generosity and know that every contribution is helping families affected by this tragedy.

I am not a charity or a large organisation. I am simply a Venezuelan doctor who wants to help my people during one of their most difficult moments. Every contribution, regardless of its size, represents hope for a family trying to rebuild their lives.
