Hello! On Wednesday 6/24, two devastating earthquakes of 7.1 and 7.5 on the Richter scale struck Venezuela within a minute. The scale of the catastrophe is unquantified, with buildings leveled across the country and countless people trapped in the rubble.
Hospitals are overrun with injured, and they are operating with very limited supplies in the first place. They are running out of basic necessities quickly.
Two close friends, Francisco and Fabiana Manganelli, are working to provide supplies for two of the main hospitals in Caracas (Vargas and Perez Carreno). Francisco is a doctor, and has worked tirelessly to care for the injured in the ER at Vargas since the event. Upon Francisco sharing the impending supply shortage in his ER, Fabiana sprung to coordinate supply runs - she brought the first donations to the hospitals today with the support of close friends and family.
In the aftermath of the earthquakes, many people have reached out about how to help. I launched this gofundme to support Francisco and Fabiana and their efforts.
Your donation will go towards buying basic supplies for the hospitals’ ER: hydrogen peroxide, gauzes, oxygen masks, face masks, gloves and soap. Anything helps! We truly appreciate your support. May God help Venezuela.
With gratitude,
