We got our sweet baby Velma on July 10th. On July 15th, she became very ill. She had gotten extremely lethargic and could not move or sit up without falling over. She had a fever of 104.8 at home and kept urinating on herself. We took her to an emergency vet in Murfreesboro, and they gave her some fluids and antibiotics and sent her home. Well, she kept getting worse and worse, so we took her to Copelands, and her WBC was 30. They kept her overnight for ABX and fluids. Well, yesterday they said she wasn’t doing any better and didn’t know what it was and recommended they send her to a specialist in Nashville. So, she spent the night in Nashville, and they determined she has Hypertrophic Osteodysplasia. Unfortunately, her pet insurance has a waiting period, and will not help with any of the costs. Anything to help us with the vet bills would be greatly appreciated!
