hi! i’m Tori and i’m sharing this for my mom, Veronika (Vee)—my best friend, my rock, and my entire world. Just recently, our lives were shattered when my mom was diagnosed with stage 4 esophageal cancer. In an instant, everything changed. Plans paused. The future we planned suddenly felt uncertain. Watching the strongest woman I know face something this terrifying has been one of the hardest and most terrifying experience of our lives. Aside from this situation, my mom is so passionate, hardworking, incredibly loyal, very intelligent, filled with integrity and full of love. Infact Harley-Davidson is actually where she would spend majority of her time! As she’s the Motor Clothes manager at Gainesville Harley-Davidson, she’s known for her dedication, her heart, and the way she makes everyone feel seen and welcome. Harley isn’t just what she does—it’s a huge part of who she is and what she loves. While she’s recovering and healing on medical leave, her position is being temporarily covered, so please feel free to stop in and show some extra love and support to her girls and favorite people. She loves to spend time with her close friends and her best friend, Kelly. When she’s home, she finds comfort in her puppy Ody (Odysseus), who never leaves her side like her own little shadow and her kitty Dizzy. Above everything else, she loves spending time with her daughter and I am proudly her little best friend. The bond we share is unbreakable. She has spent her life loving me fiercely, protecting me, teaching me, and putting my needs before hers without hesitation or complaint. Now it’s my turn as she fights through this awful situation. Our goal is to help raise funds to help cover her medical treatments, procedures, medications, help support living expenses while she focuses on healing, provide stability and peace of mind for her and our family, and to raise awareness so she feels and knows how surrounded by love she is and not alone in this fight. Asking for help is so incredibly hard—especially for someone as strong and independent as my mom. But cancer doesn't care how tough you are, and right now any support could make all the difference. If you're able to donate, any amount matters more than you know. If you can't donate, even sharing this fundraiser or simply keeping my mom in your thoughts and prayers is deeply appreciated. Every act of kindness counts. My mom has always been the one who shows up for me, now I'm asking on behalf of my heart, my family, and her—for help in showing up for Vee. Thank you unconditionally for reading her story, thank you for caring, and thank you for standing with Vee as she fights one of the hardest battles of her life.
