On March 21, 2025, the world lost a beautiful soul, Ong Thao—a beloved mother, grandmother, and a bright light to everyone who knew her. Her passing has created an enormous void in the hearts of her family, particularly her children, Veechi Vang, Lasany Vang, and Peter Thao, along with their extended loved ones.

Veechi, Lasany, and Peter are dedicated, hardworking, and compassionate professionals who play an essential role at the Alaska Psychiatric Institute. They have always offered a helping hand and support to those in need. Now, in the face of this unimaginable sorrow, we have the opportunity to return the same compassion and kindness they have selflessly shared over the years.

This GoFundMe page has been created to help alleviate the financial strain the Vang and Thao families are facing during this difficult time. The burden of funeral costs and the emotional and financial challenges resulting from such a profound loss are overwhelming.
