Vaughn is a beloved friend and a well-known member of the South Bay pickleball community. Recently, Vaughn suffered a major cardiac episode while playing pickleball, and thanks to the quick actions of mutual friends on the courts, his life was saved. After leaving the hospital, Vaughn found himself without anyone to care for him at home. He now faces the challenge of recovering alone, needing help with heart-healthy meals and keeping his apartment clean.
Vaughn has always brought energy and enthusiasm to the courts, and his colorful choice of words—especially his catchphrase, calling himself a POS—made him a memorable presence. While he could be outspoken, those who knew him privately saw his kindness and willingness to help others whenever he could. Now, as he faces a difficult recovery, we want to return that support and kindness to him.
The funds raised will go directly toward providing Vaughn with home-cooked meals, hiring a cleaning service, and helping with rent and utilities. This support will make it easier for him to focus on getting well and regaining his strength. We all care deeply for Vaughn and wish him a speedy recovery. If you’ve ever shared a game or a laugh with him, please consider helping us make his journey a little easier. Your generosity will mean the world to Vaughn and to all of us who care about him.
