Support Vaughn Bernard's Recovery Journey

Today, January 27th, Vaughn Bernard went to work at his new job as an ironworker that he started on January 6. He had an accident at work around 10 AM where he was on top of a roof, unharnessed, and fell through a hole 35 feet down onto concrete. He has sustained multiple injuries, including a broken knee, elbow, an open fracture on his wrist, broken jaw/face fractures, stitches below his lip, and on his chin. He has gone in for his first surgery to work on his left wrist.

We are asking for help because we are both young people living together on our own and supposed to be moving to a different house in March. Because of this accident, Vaughn will not be able to climb the two flights of stairs that our apartment building has. We will need to move within this week to the new house we were planning on moving to in March. We already have the keys, so that will not be an issue, but moving costs and the potential breaking of our current lease could be expensive.

Anything you can do to help, share this post, or if you’re able to donate, we thank you immensely and are hoping for a fast and speedy recovery for Vaughn. The funds will be used for rent costs/potential breaking of lease/making sure our new house has everything it needs for vaughn during his time of need. I will make sure to ask him if there’s anything else we may use it for. I know I will be there for Vaughn and help him in any way possible in our new place and I would like to be able to be with him during his time of recovery which will prohibit me to work for some time. Vaughn is loved so much and we all just want him to be okay and healthy.
