The beneficiary of this fundraiser is the Virginia Animal Protection Group (VAPG), a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Funds raised will be used exclusively to purchase equipment, supplies, and educational materials for the James City County Homeward Bound Public Safety Animal Response Initiative, including universal microchip readers, supervisor safety kits, dispatch reference guides, slip leads, public education materials, and other approved project supplies.
As equipment is purchased, it will be donated to support James City County Police, Fire, EMS, and Animal Control as they work together to improve lost pet response and help reunite more pets with their families.
The Homeward Bound Initiative is designed to begin with practical tools that strengthen public safety and animal welfare while laying the foundation for future community partnerships that promote responsible pet ownership, education, and collaboration throughout James City County.
Every contribution helps provide first responders with the resources they need to safely secure, scan, and reunite lost pets with the families who love them.
