Vanessa, my niece, is one of the strongest people I know. She was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer Stage 2 B Cell Lymphoma, with a tumor located behind her eye. This diagnosis has turned her world upside down, and she now faces a long and difficult road ahead. To survive, Vanessa must undergo a very strong chemotherapy regimen over the next few months. Unfortunately, she isn’t eligible for FMLA at her job because she hasn’t been there for 12 months, and her position is not secure if she can’t return to work after her current leave of absence ends in December.

Vanessa is fighting for her life every single day. The financial burden of medical bills and everyday living expenses is overwhelming, especially while she is unable to work.
