Vanessa is a devoted mom to her 18-month-old daughter, Avery, and a truly wonderful friend. Over the past year, she has shown incredible courage while facing Stage 4 Colorectal cancer that spread to her liver, enduring chemotherapy and a major surgery to remove half of her liver. After months of recovery and close guidance from her oncologist, she has just begun to regain her strength and a sense of hope.

Sadly, last week Vanessa learned that her cancer has returned, this time in her lungs. She now faces more tests, including a biopsy, along with additional chemotherapy and possibly radiation. Her doctor is also working to get her an appointment at the Mayo Clinic for a second opinion on the best path forward. As she continues to recover physically and financially from her previous treatments, this new diagnosis brings a fresh wave of challenges and uncertainty.
