The Lawrence family is reaching out for your prayers and support as Vanessa Lawrence faces the most challenging time of her life. In 2024, Vanessa underwent brain surgery for Hydrocephalus, a condition that causes excess fluid on the brain. Despite this diagnosis, Vanessa has always been a force to be reckoned with—excelling in her studies, working two jobs, and raising her beautiful son as a single mother. She has been a dedicated member of her church and community, inspiring those around her with her resilience and determination.
Even after her initial surgery, Vanessa continued to work full time and started a small business designing press-on nails. However, in September 2025, she began experiencing vision problems, and by November, her health took a sudden turn. Vanessa was hospitalized for uncontrollable drooling, and within 48 hours, she was placed in an induced coma. Doctors performed emergency surgery to install an auxiliary shunt and correct a faulty one from her previous operation. While the surgery was believed to be successful, Vanessa has not progressed as expected. She remains in the hospital on a respirator, unable to speak, and can only communicate by blinking her eyes. Movement in her arms, legs, and head is very limited, and doctors are still searching for answers.
Any assistance provided will go directly toward Vanessa’s mounting medical expenses and help support her son during this uncertain time. The Lawrence family is deeply grateful for your prayers, kindness, and any help you can offer as Vanessa continues her fight toward recovery.
