Support Vanessa After Chase's Tragic Loss

This is my daughter Vanessa and her boyfriend Chase, on March 16th Chase went into cardiac arrest at their home, he was taken to KU Medical Center where he began a lengthy stay for treatment. He seemed to be getting better and we thought he was coming home. He underwent a procedure where a device was placed that would shock his heart back into rhythm if he went into cardiac arrest again and he was placed on the heart transplant list. Things took a turn for the worst and Chase started to decline so the doctors wanted to put another device in that would help his heart function better, during that surgery he coded 3 times and had to be brought back. At first they thought he was going to be ok but after a CT scan the doctors realized there was no brain activity and Chase was gone. We lost him on Tuesday April 9th. Vanessa was by his side every step of the way, sleeping weeks on end in his hospital room, talking with his doctors and nurses, even making homemade meals and taking them to Chase when he was well enough to eat them. While Chase's final expenses will be covered the amount of time Vanessa has spent away from work has left her in a difficult situation with rent and bills in the home her and Chase shared. I know times are tough for everyone but if you could help even with the smallest amount to take some of the stress off of her in the most difficult time she has ever ever faced we would appreciate it and if you can't, please help by sharing their story.
