Hi everyone! My name is Van Do and I am currently doing a medical mission in Tanzania, Africa for 2 weeks! I arrived in

Tanzania on June 30 and have been volunteering at Levolosi Hospital. Levolosi is a government-funded hospital with 24 beds focusing on reproductive care and child health. It is one of the larger healthcare facilities in Arusha and provides various healthcare services such as dermatology, general surgeries, radiology, maternity and labor, HIV/AIDS clinic, TB clinic, diabetes and hypertension clinics, pharmacy and inpatient services with a female and male ward.

Although Levolosi provides all these services, resources and funds are limited. Patients have to bring their own medical supply kits to be examined and the inpatient wards have one blood pressure machine and no patient lockers to store patient’s personal belongings. Even if patients don’t bring their own gloves, they won’t be examined. I am hoping to start this fundraiser to get the hospital some more medical supplies, medications and patient lockers for the inpatient wards.
