You probably know Val from her years waitressing at Boz Wellz, being the life of Lakeside Marina campground, cheering on the Green Bay Packers, and being a selfless grandma to her granddaughter Serenity.
Val was recently diagnosed with peripheral artery disease, which causes blockages in arteries that prevents blood from reaching her extremities. Left untreated, it has about a 5 year life expectancy. It is also extremely painful.
She had an angioplasty in one leg in January, and had to return for another surgery this month on her other leg. Blood is now flowing to her leg and toes, but there is residual pain as the veins get used to having blood again. Val's most recent surgery also caused an infection in her leg. She is currently in the hospital receiving treatment and will hopefully be back on her feet soon.
While she's unable to work, Val could use prayers and support to help cover daily expenses and make sure she doesn't have to worry about money as she recovers.
Update: the infection is under control and Val is back home resting and recovering.
