On October 28th, Hurricane Melissa devastated parts of Jamaica, leaving families without homes, power, food, or support. One of our own, Valrie, a dedicated worker and loving mother, lost everything when the storm tore through her community. Her home was destroyed, leaving her and her family displaced with nowhere to go.
Valrie is someone who shows up for everyone — at work, in her community, and for her children. Now, she’s the one who needs help. With roads washed out and local stores destroyed, her family has no food, no safe shelter, and no access to basic supplies. Their small town will require major rebuilding, and recovery resources are extremely limited.
We are trying to raise atleast $20,000 to help Valrie and her family:
Rebuild their home
Purchase food, clean water, clothing, and essentials
Support her children who have lost everything
Assist in recovery efforts for the community around them
Every dollar makes a difference — whether it helps buy lumber, a generator, a meal, or simply gives this family hope in the hardest moment of their lives.
