Valley Road Theatre Company Presents
Winesburg: A Group of Tales of Small Town Life
Adapted from the novel by Sherwood Anderson.
After the success of last summer's sold-out Crypt, Valley Road Theatre Company returns for the summer 2025 season with Winesburg. The production is an immersive theatre adaptation of a classic American novel in a transformed nursery school, playing to an intimate audience of 6 per performance.
In order to fund the remainder of our budget, we are reaching out to VRTC's family and friends to help support this production!
About the Production
George Willard is a reporter for the Winesburg Eagle. Throughout his childhood in the rural town of Winesburg, he encounters many grotesques—old and rich, drunk and fat, young and beautiful. Each resident shares their vulnerable truths with the audience, a vital exploration of loss, adolescence, loneliness, isolation, and what it means to be an American.
Jumping across George's memory at the turn of the 20th century, the audience is never an outside observer; they are brought into the story and are integral to the action. This intimate experience is limited to 6 audience members per performance.
How can you help?

- Costumes
- Marketing and accessibility
