Hi there, thanks for clicking on my page. My name is Valerie and I'm from the Bible Belt. I have lived in Texas for the last seven years with no issues for the most part. However, the past two years I've been doing HRT as I'm a transwoman. The landscape in Texas has steadily become unwelcoming to me. This GoFundMe was created to escape Texas. Unfortunately, timing required I rely on credit to move. As such, the funds will mostly be used to pay off the Debt. Due to the fact that it'll majorly affect my ability to stay in the state.

Have a job which will help. Though won't likely see a first paycheck for another 3 weeks. As such, the debt in conjunction with the cost of the apartment, taking care of pets, & day to day living is under threat by amount of debt attained from moving. My finances were already quite low due the situation in Texas & setbacks mentioned in the following section.

Due to various setbacks (issues with selling my RV, unexpected rental charges from my landlord, etc.), I am set up this donation page for help with moving funds and about two to three months of expenses. While I’ve luckily already got a job it is under threat due to my first paycheck being away and the aforementioned debt.

Various costs in relation to the full moving out are also part of the help with these donations. Things such as car maintenance from the trip, clearing some amount of the debt, day to day stuff & help with the first month of rent.

As someone who is openly trans in a very rural area. It had become unsafe for me to live here any longer. While Ohio isn't the first on many people's list of safe states to go. I have an existing support system here, a stable job, and an LGBT safe neighborhood in a major city. Which is a lot more than I had in Texas. All of this together has led me to make this GoFundMe. I'm in dire need of help to keep my safer space so I can simply live and exist. I've lined out where the money would go towards below.
