Augustin Ayala suffered a stroke on Friday August 22nd and was declared brain dead on August 24th. He is at San Francisco General Hospital being kept alive on life support so that his organs can be donated.

He leaves behind a wonderful family, wife Cecelia, daughters Marie 15 (Burton HS) and Valerie 5 (Monroe ES). This tragic event happened just five days after he arranged his difficult work schedule in order to be there at drop-off at Monroe for his daughter's first day of Kindergarten. He was just 39 years old.
