Dear Friends and Community Members,
We come to you with heavy hearts and a humble request for support for one of our own, Valerie Salyers, and her two young boys. Recently, Valerie received the devastating news of being diagnosed with appendix cancer, a rare and challenging condition to face.
This news has turned her world upside down, not just emotionally but also financially.
Valerie is a loving mother to Jon-Michael ( and Tanner (6). As if battling cancer wasn't enough, she also finds herself grappling with the aftermath of her husband's
incarceration due to his struggles with addiction and abusive behavior. With him unable to return home until he serves his time and rehabilitation, Valerie is left as the sole provider
for her family, with no income coming in since her diagnosis on March 28th.
Since then, Valerie has been unable to work, undergoing numerous medical procedures including colonoscopies and preparing for an extensive 8-hour surgery
involving heated chemotherapy. This surgery is not only physically demanding but also emotionally draining, especially for a mother who must stay strong for her boys.
The road ahead is daunting, with weeks of hospitalization following the surgery, and ongoing treatments and recovery periods. Valerie will need all the support she can get, not just emotionally and spiritually, but also financially.
Your contributions will help cover essential expenses such as travel assistance for medical appointments, utility bills to keep the lights on and the house warm, and repairing her car which requires fixing the air-conditioner and tires.
These seemingly mundane
needs can become overwhelming burdens in times of crisis, and your generosity can alleviate some of that burden for Valerie and her family.
Together, with our faith in God and the power of our collective prayers, we can help Valerie and her boys navigate through this challenging chapter in their lives. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in their journey towards healing and stability.
Thank you for considering supporting Valerie and her boys during this trying time. Your kindness and compassion will not go unnoticed, and may God bless you abundantly
for your generosity and goodwill.
With sincere gratitude,
