Hello! My name is Wyatt, and I have had the pleasure of living with Valentino for the last 5 years. We found each other in April of 2021 and have been close friends ever since. As his name indicates, Val is a lover, and at this point, I can't imagine living without him in my life. This week, Val started acting strangely. He was taking more frequent trips to his litter box, and when he'd come out, he'd yowl painfully and lick at the area between his back legs. I immediately took him to the vet and was told that he had a pretty large stone lodged in his bladder and would need surgery to have it removed. The estimated cost to have this done is between $1,500 and $2,000. On top of that was the vet bill for the X-ray and MRI that helped find the stone, the antibiotic that the vet gave him, and the pain meds that he's currently on was $446.
Val is hurting pretty badly right now, and I just want to help my friend get better. He's going in for his surgery on Friday, Dec. 5. I'm hoping that his situation doesn't get worse between now and then. Right now, he's peeing a little each time he goes to the litter box, which is a good sign, but if the stone lodges itself deeper, he may need an emergency catheter put in, or he could go into toxic shock before his surgery occurs. If that happens, he's not going to make it. Anything you could give to Val would go a long way toward helping him receive his life-saving surgery and get him back to feeling so much better than he does now. Please help in any way that you can.
Thank you!!!
