This fundraiser is in support of Valentina, the 3-year-old who was kidnapped during a carjacking last Saturday October 3rd in Los Angeles. Valentina was rescued, but the car was damaged during the rescue and has also been impounded. The mother is taking some time off work, both she and her daughter are trying to recover from this shock. Taking this break does make it difficult to keep up with basic expenses that she was already experiencing difficulty with. As a single mom who does not receive help, she has been carrying this weight all on her own. The most urgent need right now is rent. She is already behind and needs help as soon as possible. After rent is covered, donations will help her look into repairing the car so she can get back to work more reliably. She works far from home, and without a working car, her commute is much harder. Funds will also help get therapy sessions for Valentina, who is showing signs of distress. Any donations are deeply appreciated.
