Support Valarie and Butch in the Aftermath of the Eaton Fire

My name is Jennifer Hammond and I have created this GoFundMe page on behalf of my dear friend Valarie King and her partner, Landers Pierce ("Butch"). Val and Butch lost their home and all of their belongings in the devastating Eaton Fire.

Valarie has contributed to countless films and recording projects as a talented flutist and proofreader for the Disney Music Library, where I have had the joy of working alongside her since 2000. Butch is a dedicated percussionist and producer. Sadly, both musicians lost instruments in the fire: Valarie lost two of her beloved flutes, and Butch's entire collection of percussion instruments was destroyed.

Val is known by her colleagues as our lively party planner. She is the bright light we all wish to have in our lives and brings us together when we need it most.

Over the years, Valarie and Butch have been loving dog parents to two rescue pups, Hope and Spirit. Hope passed away two years ago. Tragically, Hope’s ashes were also lost in the fire.

Valarie has always been a natural caregiver and thoughtful friend we can depend on. Now it’s our turn to care for Val. We hope that with your help, Val, Butch, and Spirit can begin to recover from this trauma.
