I am raising funds for my friend, Vadzim Karalenka, a truck driver who worked in the American trucking industry for five years. While he was working, Vadzim was detained by ICE officers at a truck stop. At the time of his detention, he had valid work authorization and a pending asylum application.

The hardest part is knowing that Vadzim, who spent five years working hard as a truck driver, is now being held in ICE detention despite having work authorization and a pending asylum case. He has lost his ability to earn a living, and his future is uncertain. As his friends, we are doing everything we can to help him obtain legal representation and fight for his release.

The funds raised will help cover immigration attorney fees, legal representation, and other necessary expenses related to his ICE detention and immigration court proceedings.
