"Slice of Life” is a bold and creative short film project for our capstone class at the University of Texas at San Antonio. What makes this film stand out is its storytelling technique—three different narratives, told at the exact same time, through a split-screen format. This innovative structure allows the audience to experience three perspectives simultaneously, weaving together the complex lives of three friends whose choices collide in dramatic and unexpected ways.
The story follows Bea, Dee, and Kay—three friends connected by secrets, trust, and betrayal.
As their stories unfold, each decision they make ripples into the others’ lives. The split-screen format heightens the tension, showing how every action has a consequence, even when the characters don’t realize it in the moment. What begins as three separate journeys eventually collides into one chaotic and unforgettable finale.
We are a passionate group of UTSA filmmakers putting everything we have into this project. Your support will help us cover production costs such as food, set design, costumes, props, and post-production editing. Every contribution, no matter the size, directly helps bring this ambitious vision to life.
If you love bold storytelling, fresh voices in film, and supporting student filmmakers chasing their dreams, we would be incredibly grateful for your donation. Together, we can make "Slice of Life" a film worth remembering.
Thank you for supporting our journey,
—Slice of Life Team
