Hi! My name is Maggie Colombo and I am the writer/director of this emotionally layered, introspective short film. I'm a current junior at the University of Southern California studying Film & TV Production and this project is my junior thesis. I am working alongside my producer, Luke Dorado, and cinematographer, Nilanjana Sha Sudha. Our budget for this film is $1,750 and I am asking for any donations you are able to share to help bring this story to life.

As someone who was raised in the Catholic church, I've always been inspired to highlight the beauty, but also the personal challenges that come with faith. Our main character, Luca, is a young seminarian preparing to enter the priesthood when he begins to struggle with doubts about his vocation. Beneath the surface of tradition and discipline, he grapples with the immense pressure to embody perfection, questioning whether he's truly been called or simply wants to be. This story is not a call for rebellion, but a quiet plea for compassion; for space within faith to be human, to doubt, and to be accepted anyway.

In our world today, uplifting creative voices and rich storytelling is more important than ever. If you are able to donate any amount, I am more than beyond grateful. The smallest donations can go a long way. No raffles, sweepstakes, giveaways, or returns on investment are offered in exchange for any donations made to this GoFundMe.

With appreciation,
Maggie, Nilanjana, and Luke
