A genuine heartfelt plea to all my spaniel and doggy friends & family ❤️

In March 2022, our spaniel Lexi gave birth to the best and most gorgeous 4 puppies, these pups specifically brought me a new found fondness and love for having pups.

thankfully the puppies all went to loving homes and one of those pups, our Harvey, was to become a member of our wider family, regularly having sleepovers with his mumma Lexi and vice versa.

I know we all say it but he really is the most lovable spaniel boy you could meet.

Im not sure if this is the morally right thing to do or not, so deepest apologies to anyone who does take offence. If you don't agree, please please try to be kind, just ignore post & please understand our desperation having to do take this action in this time of financial need to save Harvey's life.

Harvey came into this crazy world full of mischief and fun from day dot, he is a typical loving, daft big spaniel who likes to act like he's the boss lol but has a big heart of mush and so much more to give if we can help him pull through this

My sister in law in particular is absolutely broken right now at the thought of losing him - without Harvey she wouldn't have gotten through life after losing her much loved brother suddenly this last year Harvey got her up out of bed, out walking and kept her going through one of the worst times in her life.

Sadly, last weekend Harvey became very very poorly and had to get big operation after visiting vet. Sadly it appears he had consumed stones at some point out walking and they were in his stomach, and intestines!

He was sent back home 2 days after a complex op and everything seemed okay, albeit he was still poorly.

However, on Thursday last week Harvey became gravely ill and was rushed to specialist vet surgeon for another op because of fluid leaking from wound on his intestine after having first op.

As you can imagine, it has been torturous for family - we are all heartbroken and especially my sister in law who only cares about getting her boy home so she's not even thinking about anything else, ie. why I'm setting up this page for the ever rising costs (15k at present) to save her boy.

We have been told it is still v. critical because of the wound if it leaks again there might not be much more they can do. Furthermore, he has infection in wound and if these second lot of antibiotics don't work they may need to perform a 3rd op which he may not recover from.

The vet insurance is, (shockingly in my opinion!) is questioning payout and even if they do, will only pay up to a max 5k, so anything over that we were all just going to chip in as a family to help out. However cost is currently now 15k and could be up to 18k!

For record, my sister in law bought the platinum and highest insurance. Makes you wonder why we pay pet insurance???

As our spaniel Lexi is Harvey's mum, and we feel so helpless at moment, I wanted to support my sister in law and Harvey in any way I could & so I'm starting a 'Go Fund Me Page to help with the stress of paying these funds when this is all over, and finds that will hopefully save his young life ❤️

Harvey is in a very critical condition and any funds raised, are paying to save his life.
