ABOUT THE TEAM AND THE PROJECT:
At THEREDBOX Projects, we’re a small, passionate team of artists with international training and solid experience in the performing arts.
FEMME FATALE is an independent theatre play born from the impulse to explore female power throughout History, from Lilith to the present day. It is a project committed to an artistic vision, where every detail reflects our careful and passionate work.
We don’t have institutional support or public funding. We’re covering research, writing, performing, costume design, and rehearsals with our own resources, ensuring top quality and professionalism every step of the way. But to grow and bring this project to life, we need your support.
Your contribution will help us cover essential costs like venue rental, costumes materials and realisation, lighting, and promotion — and, above all, keep our vision alive: giving voice and visibility to the powerful and diverse women who’ve shaped History.
We’re not offering material rewards or early tickets — we’re looking for collaborators, not buyers.
If you can and decide to support us, your name or logo will appear in the acknowledgments on our website and program (if you allows it), making you part of this story.
Thank you for believing in independent art.
Thank you for supporting us in raising a voice that refuses to be silenced.
ABOUT THE PLAY:
The power of women throughout History
Our journey begins with Lilith, who defied the boundaries of biblical paradise by leaving her husband Adam, demanding equality and rebelling against her God. This act of defiance sets the stage for a historical exploration of women who have followed in her footsteps, sparking anger, war, social change, admiration and unbridled passion around the world and through the ages.
From ancient times to the present day, women have changed their faces, their nationality, their ethnicity, their background, their geography, their social status and even their professions. Despite these variations, they have always been at the centre of important historical events, earning a reputation as catalysts of change.
“Il y a une femme dans toutes les affaires aussitôt qu’on me fait un rapport je dis: Cherchez la femme!” – Les Mohicans de Paris – Alexandre Dumas (p)
A woman can be a demon, an irresistible beauty, a defender of boundaries, a fearless fencer, a bank employee or a pop star.
So… What's a Femme Fatale?
Women's actions are often met with resistance, not only from men, but also from other women.
Throughout History, women have navigated complex relationships and rivalries, proving to be formidable forces in their own right.
This project explores the lives and impact of some "Femmes Fatales" and how they have shaped and reshaped the world around them.
