Five talented martial arts competitors—Joshua Silverstein, Dejuon Cistrunk Sr, Dejuon Cistrunk Jr, Sahvanna Davis and Trystan Salters—have been selected to represent the United States at the Shuaijiao World Cup in Montesilvano, Italy. As their coach, I am incredibly proud of their dedication and achievements. Each of these athletes earned their place on the team by competing and medalling at the Shuaijiao Nationals held in Ohio, demonstrating not only their skill but also their commitment to this unique sport. Shuaijiao is a traditional Chinese jacket wrestling style that focuses on turning, throwing, or tripping your opponent while maintaining your own balance. The World Cup will bring together competitors from 20 to 40 countries, making it an exciting and challenging event for our team.

While this is a tremendous honor, the costs associated with international competition are significant. Our team members need support with travel expenses, competition uniforms, team jackets, and hotel accommodations. Your contribution will help ensure that these athletes can focus on their training and proudly represent our country on the world stage.
