The Joan Denise Moriarty School of Dance has been honoured with an invitation to participate in the renowned Shanghai Tourism Festival, scheduled to take place from September 8th to September 19th, 2024. This prestigious event will not only provide an incredible platform for our students to showcase their talents but will also be witnessed by world leaders and broadcasted to millions of viewers globally.

The festival holds immense cultural and educational value, offering our students an opportunity for international exposure, fostering cultural exchange, and representing our school on a global stage. The trip includes a comprehensive 10-day itinerary that encompasses visits to iconic landmarks such as the Great Wall and Tiananmen Square, providing an enriching experience.

We will be taking 26 students to the festival where they will preform at the across 3 days of public events including Opening Ceremony and the Shanghai Tourism Festival Parade.

This target of €5000 is to cover the cost of our students costumes, tights and dance shoes for trip.
