Hello, I am John Edwards and I created this GoFundMe to raise money for the widow and only surviving child of Army Combat Medic Gregory L Edwards. His widow Kathleen Edwards; also a combat veteran who served in Iraq, has been suffering in silence from the trauma of this tragic loss; the loss of their son, and her military traumas. Following her husband’s death, she lost their son to an accidental drowning. Kathleen with great endurance has diligently taken great strides in her mental health. Her focus is on their surviving child as they are both still actively involved in mental health treatment and services.

Kathleen is a disabled combat veteran who actively serves at her local church and is always sacrificing her time to advocate for mental health. Kathleen’s focus and finances is used to provide stability and therapeutic outlets for herself and her child. Her goal is to build a memorial and create an organization to help individuals suffering with mental health; In honor of Gregory L Edwards; her late husband. As our family continues to fight for accountability when it comes to Gregory’s untimely death during a mental health crisis; we would also like to help put in place measures to protect others suffering with mental health from having the same fate. The funds allocated from this GoFundMe will be used to take care of all costs pertaining to completing these goals. I would appreciate any financial help we can send.
