Our 18-year-old brother, son and friend, Uriah, was recently in a devastating car accident that left him with severe and complex injuries. He was a passenger in the vehicle. Uriah is currently in a medically induced coma in the Intensive Care Unit, where he is expected to stay for at least a couple of weeks as he begins the first stage of his recovery.
Uriah remains strong. He is in a critical, but stable condition. He’s young, fit, and fighting hard.
We’re raising funds to help ease the short term financial strain on the family. Uriah’s parents (Katherine and Tim) live regionally and are both self employed. They are both committed to staying by his bedside as much as possible during the healing journey. The hospital is in the city and away from their homes and support networks. Any amount, big or small, will make a real difference. All surplus funds beyond the family's immediate needs will be directed towards getting Uriah established in the next chapter of his life.
We’re so grateful for the outpouring of love, prayers, messages and donations we’ve already received — it means more than words can say. Thank you for standing with Uriah and our family during this incredibly tough time.
With love and gratitude,
-Uriah's Family
