Support Urgently Needed for Nephew Jared

I am Rocky Recio & I’m desperately requesting temporary help for Dora’s son & my nephew (Jared) that might not have long to live. He will continue to need medical attention & care for the rest of his life but at this time he can’t even afford to get any health insurance.

I have chosen my sister as beneficiary to receive these funds directly to her & my nephew Jared so they can use them as soon as needed for their emergency needs. At this time they are living in a very small RV that has partially some AC/heater & only a 2-hot plate to cook on so his mom goes to a friend’s house to go cook meals to bring him hot food. My nephew is no longer able to work because of the severity of his medical health. This has been a huge loss of income that was coming in. They both have appts so this also takes gas to & from those trip’s & maintenance on the car plus car insurance, food, rent, his medical bills, rent on the property that is way over what she can afford, etc.

He has applied for disability 2 times & has been disapproved & hopes this 3rd time it will be approved; he has applied for financial assistance but that still pending & has been for months but until then they aren’t able to pay the rent due on the property where the RV is on & are facing eviction. They have nowhere to go & absolutely any money to keep them going thru out the month. Those of us that are helping are doing all we can but it’s not enough & my nephew doesn’t have long to live because of his enlarged heart & damaged lungs.

The name of the med he needs is called Remodulin & the cassette has to be replaced every 3 days. He also had a heart Cath placed which has to be changed every 3 months for a while, and constant appointments as they try to rid one of his lungs of a blood clot, on top of constantly changing the dosage that gets injected into him by a small pump. At this time we don’t know if the hospital is willing to pay for this so this might be another bill to pay. He knows his mother is sacrificing herself for him so he has limited what he eats so she won’t have to spend so much in groceries & on his discharge papers from the hospital it was noted that he was chronically malnourished. We didn’t even know this until now, we thought he just couldn’t eat bc he was so sick.

They’re waiting for or if he gets approval of this disability so they can find a place to live & continue to pay their own way. He has just been notified that he has a court date of Feb 11, 2025, for his next Disability Hearing. Everything is depending on this day & what the outcome will be on whether their future living conditions will continue this way or get better.

If anyone needs more info please just ask & I will respond. For those that are asking why we did not add a picture of him, we just couldn’t bring ourselves to do this bc he’s lost so much weight. He doesn’t look nothing like he looked in that picture above. If you would see him now it would make you break down & cry. He used to be the one that used to take care of his mom now the tables have turned & it’s very heartbreaking.
