Hola, somos la familia Rodriguez y estamos creando esta campaña para ayudar a nuestra madre/abuela, una mujer maravillosa de 86 años, que recientemente sufrió una caída que le provocó una fractura en el cuello del húmero. Debido a su edad y la complejidad de su lesión, los médicos han indicado que necesita una prótesis y una cirugía urgente para poder recuperar movilidad y evitar complicaciones mayores.

Desafortunadamente, su esposo, nuestro padre/abuelo, hace 2 años también sufrió de una caída que lo dejó lastimado y eventualmente necesitaba más tratamientos médicos que usó mayoría de los recursos que teníamos como familia. Debido a la atención que él necesitaba también tuvimos que tenerlo bajo cuidado en un hogar de ancianos. Actualmente nuestra madre/abuela también está ahí con él y hemos dedicado nuestros recursos para que los dos tengan la mejor atención posible dentro de nuestro alcance. Con más razón esta caída de nuestra madre/abuela nos ha impactado financieramente y por lo tanto pedimos la ayuda de todos.

El costo total de la operación incluyendo la prótesis, hospitalización y cuidado post operatorios, asciende a aproximadamente $15,000 USD, una cifra que lamentablemente está fuera de nuestro alcance familiar.

Nuestra madre/abuela, es una persona fuerte, amorosa y luchadora. Ha dedicado su vida a cuidar de los demás, y hoy necesita que cuidemos de ella. Hello, we are the Rodriguez family, and we are creating this campaign to help our mother/grandmother, a wonderful 86-year-old woman who recently suffered a fall that caused a fracture of the hip. Due to her age and the complexity of her injury, the doctors have indicated that she needs a prosthesis and urgent surgery in order to regain mobility and avoid more serious complications.

Unfortunately, her husband—our father/grandfather—also suffered a fall two years ago that left him injured and eventually required more medical treatment, which used up most of the resources we had as a family. Because of the care he needed, we also had to place him in a nursing home. Currently, our mother/grandmother is there with him as well, and we have dedicated our resources to ensuring that both receive the best care possible within our means. For this reason, this recent fall has affected us financially even more, and we are asking for everyone’s help.

The total cost of the operation—including the prosthesis, hospitalization, and post-operative care—amounts to approximately $15,000 USD, a figure that is sadly beyond our family's reach.

Our mother/grandmother is a strong, loving, and resilient person. She has dedicated her life to caring for others, and now she needs us to care for her.
