Hello, I'm a Sudanese student based in the U.S., and I’m starting this initiative from a place of deep concern, hoping to help Sudanese patients access the essential medications they desperately need. Right now, many Sudanese patients are struggling to access basic medications, whether in Sudan or as refugees in Egypt. Things like antibiotics, pain relief, and essential treatments that should be simple to get are often completely out of reach. In honor of today marking three years since the start of war, I’m starting a small initiative, focused on helping families little by little.
My end goal is to help patients receive the medications they need, when they need them. I want to begin by directly supporting patients, working with doctors and pharmacies to cover or reduce the cost of essential medications for those who can’t afford them.
This GoFund Me is the first step. All funds will go directly toward:
- purchasing medications supporting urgent treatment needs working with trusted pharmacies and medical contacts.
Long-term vision:
My long term vision is to build a sustainable system that improves access to affordable medications for Sudanese communities, and eventually grow into a larger pharmacy-based solution.
But first, we start small. We start with real people. If you’re able to contribute or share, it truly makes a difference.
Thank you
