Support Urgent Help Needed in Kiera’s Stage IV Cancer Fight!

Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Will and I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of my sister, Kiera. Kiera has been through so much: She lost our mother to Stage IV Breast Cancer at only 15, at age 17, She then was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer (MPNST) unlike any sarcomas known to the medical world, and has been recently diagnosed with Stage IV MPNST cancer and given only months according to medical doctors. My sister was first diagnosed with Stage III MPNST in September of 2023, and she went through tumor removal of the hip and leg area, and radiation treatment following this. During this challenging time, my sister has been unable to receive any Social Security benefits or be approved for Medicaid in her home state of Georgia; so, the financial burdens medically have been a great deal. And because of the severity of her illness and still being in high school when first diagnosed, she has been unable to work due to the tumor removal leaving her disabled. My sister was just recently diagnosed with Stage IV MPNST cancer of the brain, lungs, and bone about two months ago. After a removal of a large brain mass on her frontal lobe about a week ago that was causing her to have seizures, we were then told by the oncologists that my sister would have a couple of months left in the life expectancy that they are giving her. They informed us that this was due to the cancer being extremely aggressive and progressing very quickly, doubling in size within 7 days, and that the disease has spread all over her body. This cancer is so rare in form that it is really uncharted territory in healthcare and science. We have been told that the chemotherapy and medicines for this cancer are so ineffective that it is an 80% chance that they will not work. And if they were to work, they would only extend my sister’s life 1-2 months because it will not cure it; it will only shrink the growths around her body for some time. Because the side effects of chemotherapy are so harsh, and those are guaranteed to happen, my sister has decided to focus on quality of life. I am so proud of Kiera- She graduated high school even after her diagnosis; she still remains positive, motivational and faithful through whatever challenges she has faced! She always puts her best fight forward! I am supporting my sister through this journey and decision. We are in need of help to fund my sister’s last wishes: to spend as much time with family as possible, enjoy the life that she has, cover medical and hospice care, and her wish to be buried next to our mother, Koya, who passed away from Stage IV Breast Cancer when Kiera was only 15 years old. My sister Kiera and I are absolutely grateful for anyone who contributes, for the love, prayers and continued support throughout this difficult time and journey.
