Support Urgent Aid for the Al-Najjar Family in Gaza

"My name is Faisal Shawqi Al-Najjar. I need money to buy a phone because it was stolen. I am in debt because of the evictions, paying the eviction rent, and constantly buying tents. Every displacement costs my family $2,000. I am sick and need medicine, food, water, and everything is expensive. I cannot tell you. The prices are going up every day. The prices are constantly increasing. I do not know what to tell you, but I am suffering a lot, my friend."

Hi! This fundraiser is to raise money to support the Al-Najjar family in Gaza. Out of the 9 Al-Najjar siblings, I am primarily in contact with Faisal, who is 18. The family is originally from Khuza'a, a village in the eastern part of Khan Younis. His family is in over 20k of debt after being forced to borrow money in order to pay for transportation and new tents each time they're displaced, and are now having to pay it back immediately. On top of this, their daily necessities - food to eat, clean water to drink, medicine to deal with the inevitable illnesses and injuries that come with living under siege - are incredibly expensive. Any support you can give their family would mean so much in these times.

My name is Kayleigh, I'm an American college student from southwest Colorado. I met Faisal through a college friend who has also been in consistent contact with Faisal's family for nine months now. The funds will be transferred to the family via PayPal or bank wire to his brother Ahmed or sister Shaima, as Faisal himself does not have a bank account. The family's priorities for the funds right now include getting a new phone (~$2,000), paying off his debts ($4,000 in Faisal's name, and more in his brother's), saving up for future inevitable displacements (~$2,000 in transportation and for a new tent per displacement), and providing food, water, clothing, and medical care for his family. As such, we're likely going to increase the fundraising goal later on.
