LET'S SUPPORT STEM PROGRAM IN THE URBAN SCHOOLS
If we provide African Americans, Hispanics and Native Americans (the Underrepresented group) the opportunity to pursue Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) at a very early age, K-8, they can become engineers, scientists, computer scientists, data analysts, technicians, innovators, leaders, and researchers. STEM program can help solve the most pressing challenges facing the Underrepresentation of Minority groups in America and the world, today and tomorrow. However, today, not enough of the Underrepresented groups have access to quality STEM learning opportunities. Again, too few of Blacks, and Hispanic students see STEM disciplines as the springboards for their careers.
OUR GOAL: We at the Global Foundation to Upgrade Underserved Primary and Secondary Schools (GFUUPSS) have designed a Copyrighted Science Center for the Urban Schools, to provide opportunities for the underrepresented students K-8 to access high-quality STEM learning opportunities in science-based activities.
The Science Center known as The 21st Century school is an Independent entity, but part of the Urban public school system, will expose the students to STEM subjects, inspired, and facilitate them to reach their full potential. The program will stimulate them to be curious about the world inside them, and around them. A science-based program will make a positive difference in the children’s lives.
WHY DO WE NEED YOUR FINANCIAL SUPPORT: We are a small Non-profit Corporation with bold ideas seeking your financial support to make this venture a reality. Your financial support shall help us construct the Science Center with several classrooms that make up the 21st Century Center school: We will concentrate on the following areas.
· Computer and Math training classrooms, to provide coding instruction for developing Computer Applications
· A Science laboratory along with the apparatus needed for experiments and demonstrations
· A Library, and Media center,
· A Recreation Center, which displays various science objects as well as children's projects
· Children's Creativity Classroom where children can build various objects,
· A Telescope to gain the children's interest in Astronomy
· Teachers and Staff Office.
Your financial support will also help us to purchase the necessary equipment for the multi-classroom classrooms:
· The telescope
· Computers, and smart boards for the Computer and Math training classrooms
· Books on science and technology and 3-D videos on science experiments for the library and media center
· A set of equipment and materials, including 3D printing, microscopes, and safe chemical compounds to be used for science experiments in the science laboratory
· Legos and other building blocks for the children’s creativity classroom.
Your Contribution Matters: By contributing towards this noble course, you will be making the dreams and aspirations of these young boys and girls come true.
