Help Support the Memory of Uncle Tommy Barron: A Pillar of the Native American Church and our Gilroy Community.
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved Uncle Tommy Barron. While we rejoice in his transition to the Spirit world and to Creator, he will be missed! Uncle Tommy was more than a relative; he was a cherished elder, a dedicated servant of the Native American Church, and a radiant soul who impacted countless lives with his kindness, humor, wisdom, and boundless love.
For all who knew him, Uncle Tommy was a energetic and encouraging presence. He was an active and respected member of the Teocalli en Aztlan in Gilroy, CA, where he participated in ceremonies with deep reverence and shared his profound understanding of traditional ways and how they made all the difference in his life. His faith was a guiding light, and he generously offered his Spiritual support and prayers to anyone in need, having learned and made relatives at many fireplaces.
Uncle Tommy had a remarkable gift for connecting with people from all walks of life. He was attentive to children, a compassionate friend, a gifted musician, and always had a warm smile and positive words to offer.
Whether he was sharing stories about his life experiences, offering gentle guidance, or simply being present, he made everyone feel seen, valued, and appreciated, checking in on us all
Perhaps one of his most endearing qualities was his genuine care for our young people and dedication to praying for our future generations. A big kid himself, he loved to hear about how their lives were going and their laughter was music to his ears. He encouraged them to follow their joy and make good choices in life, especially in regards to sobriety.
Uncle Tommy lived a life dedicated to his community, his friends, and his Spiritual path. He leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, hope, charity, and connections that will continue to inspire us.
We are establishing this GoFundMe to help with the unexpected expenses involved in providing him with the same dignity and care he extended to others.
Any contribution, no matter how small, will help make it possible for the community to focus on grieving and work on honoring Uncle Tommy's memory.
Your support means the world to us. Please share this campaign with anyone who knew and loved Tommy, or anyone who believes in supporting those who dedicate their lives to their communities and Spiritual practices.
Thank you for your generosity, your prayers, and for helping us celebrate the life of a truly remarkable and genuine man.
As details become available, we will provide updates.
With deepest gratitude,
Teocalli en Aztlan Board
