My name is Meg. I am starting this fundraiser on behalf of my Uncle Rob. He has been undergoing grueling dialysis 3 days a week for the last two years and is on the waiting list for a donor kidney with Mayo clinic. On May 22 his life took a dramatic turn when he learned that a small infection on his left foot had moved to the bone and the surgeon gave him about 5 minutes to decide the path forward. To prevent further migration of the infection, Rob made the decision to have his big toe, and a large part of bone amputated.

For an active guy like my uncle, this has been devastating. Your donation will help Uncle Rob pay for his living expenses, monthly bills, medical needs, and pet supplies while he is unable to go back to his job. Your donation is particularly important at a time when he is coming to grips with losing part of his foot, enduring PT and regaining his stamina and ability to get back to work. Not having the added uncertainty of how the bills will get paid during this stressful time will help him gain strength and support him on his way back to good health.
