Nov. 30 Update

Regrettably, Ray has taken a turn for the worse. He now has a breathing tube and has been moved to isolation due to the numerous infections his body is trying to fight. Prayers are needed more than ever right now.

Nov. 23 Update

Uncle Ray remains in ICU and he’s still receiving antibiotics for his pneumonia. He is breathing better on his own but still weak and tired.

My name is Brittany, and I am reaching out on behalf of my Uncle Ray.

This past weekend could have ended very differently for our family. Our Uncle Ray became ill around the beginning of November and, unfortunately, his condition continued to worsen. Despite several attempts to reach him, we were unable to make contact. Concerned for his well-being, we contacted the Houston Police Department to conduct a welfare check. After what felt like hours, we were able to get into his apartment and found my uncle. By the Grace of God, he was alive but in a state of being almost non-responsive due to his illness.

Uncle Ray is currently in ICU and will be unable to return to his job for some time. I know times are difficult for many of us and the holidays are right around the corner, but we are asking for donations. We want to help alleviate any of his concerns about this rent and bills while he gets the medical care he needs.
