Happy New Year. I wanted to give everyone an update on Uncle Kevin. 

Yesterday was his second Chemo treatment at Shands. He will go every week until the end of February. At that time they will do another scan to see if there has been any improvement or change in the Cancer. Uncle Kevin has had a few mild symptoms with the treatments, mostly nausea. Please continue to pray that the treatments are working and that the symptoms from the treatments stay at a minimum. We appreciate everyone who has donated. Please continue to share. The traveling back and forth and the extra meds that the insurance doesn’t cover are adding up. If you are not able to give please continue to share and most importantly keep Uncle Kevin lifted in prayers as he continues to navigate this journey. We love and appreciate each of you. 

Anyone who knows our family, knows that I have been Uncle Kevin’s little munchkin since day one. A true family man who has alway put God first in everything he does. A few months ago he underwent surgery to remove bladder cancer. After a short stay in the hospital the doctors confirmed our worst fears today. Uncle Kevin has 2 new tumors that are growing in his pelvic region and the Cancer is now in his bones.

As the main provider and caregiver for his family, you can imagine the toll this has been financially as he is no longer able to work. Today he was released from the hospital on hospice. He will have multiple upcoming appointments at Shands in Gainesville, FL.

I understand times are hard for everyone right now, especially with the holidays upon us. Anything you can give will be a blessing and allow Aunt Tammy to focus on caring for Uncle Kevin without worrying about how bills, travel, medical expenses and necessities will be paid for. If you are unable to give financially please say a prayer for our family in the coming days and weeks.
